Solar Thermal and Solar PV: Southampton

Eco2Solar conducted a dual installation of solar thermal and solar PV to this large property overlooking the English Channel near Southampton. The evacuated tube collectors provide the customer with approximately 70% of their hot water throughout the year. The Strebel tubes are 95% efficient and work using a vacuum to retain the heat they absorb.

The solar PV system runs across the main roof of the house above the two gables. The Kyocera poly-crystalline modules were chosen because of their high efficiencies and ability to fully maximise the space available at the property.
